Questions About Your Move?
Here is a list of some Frequently Asked Questions, answered by our expert moving team! If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us today!
1. What parts of Maine do you service?
We proudly serve all residential, corporate, medical, government, and non-profit locations in the State of Maine, including all 16 counties, and Northern New England. Through the North American Van Lines agent network, we can also handle national and international moves. Even if you are moving across the country or around the globe.
2. I’m getting ready to move, what’s my first step?
Planning ahead is everything. What are you bringing with you? What items are staying? A good rule of thumb is to start planning your move 6-8 weeks out. Create an inventory list of the important items you are planning to move.
Start with the largest items, and work down to those you plan to move in boxes or totes. Be sure to label your items by name, content, room, and destination. This helps to alleviate stress and expedite the process.
Not bringing everything with you on your move?
Make sure to mark items that are not coming with you to the new location with the words “DO NOT MOVE.” Then, call us! For more information on planning your move, view our moving tips!
3. What items should I NOT set aside for packing?
Not everything you own in your home or at your office is appropriate to pack. Things like flammable materials, perishables, plants, cash, confidential papers, or sentimental personal items should NOT be considered for relocation due to safety and privacy concerns.
Please set aside all private and personal items to take with you when it comes time to move. For flammables, hazardous material, or waste, we can help you arrange for disposal. Remember to empty all gas tanks and remove batteries, when applicable!
